Aussie beach party

On 15th June the Australian Embassy kindly hosted us for an awesome social night. With a BBQ, music, and the usual fun YDA crowd it was an evening to remember!

SESAME, Jordan's particle accelerator

YDA was given a fascinating, all-access tour of SESAME last Saturday - the first particle accelerator in the Middle East. It's an incredible story of diplomacy, engineering, and of course science. Electrons are sped up to 99.9999985% the speed of light to create intense beams of light for use in a range of research applications.

A night with the Circassians

We were warmly welcomed to the Circassian centre last week for a traditional meal, dance rehearsal, and discussion on the community's history and culture. The music and movement will stay with us for a long time!
